Dr Andy Flannagan, Labour's candidate in the Vassall by-election
Andy Flannagan has crammed an amazing amount into his 34 years. He has been a hospital doctor, a campaigner on justice issues, a youthworker, an author, and a musician, but his proudest moment was captaining the Barmy Army cricket team for England during the Ashes.

He lives on the Kennington Rd and is a member of the congregation at Christ Church and Upton chapel. His passion for serving people started during his time at medical school. Trips to developing countries opened his eyes to some of the injustices in the world and he then spent his time speaking or singing, telling the stories of the people he met.

Living in London, Andy is applying similar energy to telling the stories of Londoners, representing their joys and struggles to those who need to hear. He has a passion to see young people reach their full potential, having been involved in youthwork and training youthworkers for 10 years. Leading teams of young people who then work with other young people has given him real insight into leadership and the needs of this generation. His recent book “12 Disciples” tells gritty, but hopeful stories of growing up in 21st century Britain. His last critically-acclaimed album, SON is available in stores and on iTunes.
